Discovering Local Hawaiian Foodland Grocery Store
Are you thinking what I’m thinking?
That they just might have poke and spam?
Foodland tl;dr
- Locally Owned Grocery with All the Local Goods
- Forget Something, They Probably Got It
- Did I Mention the Spam and Poke?
Grocery stores, the ubiquitous modern day market place sourced for everyday food and household goods. And more importantly, it’s your quick peek at the local flavors at local prices!
I’m all for enjoying all the amenities that a resort or hotel has to offer during a travel excursion. The available variety of things to eat can be limited and the overblown prices are discouraging to say the least.
And that’s why I always find my way to the local grocer to explore, stock up, and indulge on things I can’t find anywhere else (and sometimes on the things that I can). You just never know what you’ll find!
What is It
This Foodland branch is one of 33 location across the Hawaiian Islands. Foodland is the locally owned grocery store chain serving up plenty of local flavors since 1927. Things that we always look for is spam and poke!
Who knew there was so many flavors of spam?
And who doesn’t love poke? Not to be outdone by the variety of spam options, there’s nearly as many freshly daily made poke flavors as well!
Don’t get me wrong, there are other places equally worthy of your eating attention but Foodland is super convenient.
Where is It
This Foodland branch is located in a strip mall in the northern part of Kauai in Princeville.
Never met a Foodland I didn’t like!
