Eat Vivo City Matcha Soft Serve at McDonald’s

“I like matcha!”

McDonald’s Matcha Soft Serve tl;dr

  • Tastes Just Like Green Tea
  • Almost Reminds Me of Green Tea Kit Kats
  • It’s Nice Split with Vanilla

YES! Yay for me!

Another McDonald’s visit, another McDonald’s flavor!

To be fair, I don’t frequent McDonald’s that often. When you luck out and hit a streak of hitting McDonald’s new flavors, I had to take these opportunities to try them.

In retrospect, green tea is a traditionally drank in the form of tea in China. Given that there’s a heavy Chinese influence in the available cuisine here in Singapore and probably ties into the Japanese market as well.

Matcha Green Tea

Green tea is a strong flavor but not nearly as strong as I’ve had it back in Tokyo; where it can be very dark and bitter. Eating it with vanilla allows me to change the ratio of green tea to vanilla in real time if ever my preference changed while eating it. Though I don’t think I’d ever have it any other way. I wouldn’t want to eat a full cone of any flavor to the point of being overwhelmed and in turn have a falling out with it.

Another Matcha Cone to Go

The green tea flavor is so good. Maybe it’s because I like matcha, but I had to get another one to go. One of these days, I’ll try what it tastes like being dipped in chocolate, giving me a trifecta of contrasting tastes.

You're going to eat, you might as well eat something tasty.
