Look Out for Kauai’s Lookouts for Beautiful Views of the Island
I bet that’s a great place for a view!
Why do you say that?
Because the sign says lookout…
Kauai Lookouts tl;dr
- Plenty of Lookouts in Kauai
- Be Careful When Parking and Leaving
- You Won’t See These Views Anywhere Else
No matter where you go, you’ll find beauty both big and small. Sometimes they are easy to find and some not so easy. If you spend the time and have the curiosity, you may be rewarded with something you can treasure for a lifetime.
Kauai is a magical place with scenic views about. It’s as if everywhere you go you’ll find a magnificent view that you can call all your own. It’s one thing to share it with other people, and it’s a completely other experience when it’s just you and maybe another person you want to share that moment with.
Nadia and I tried to explore as much of Kauai as possible without rushing ourselves. It’s hard to slow down and just live in the moment when you’ve spent your whole life doing the opposite but we gave it the old college try. Everywhere we went we took a breath and looked around to see what we could see.
From time to time, Nadia would call out a sign that she saw while we were driving and I’d pull the car around to check it out. Or there would be moments during our hikes that I’d find a picture perfect moment that digital memories have a hard time replicating. There’s so much everywhere, that you would be hard pressed to not find a Kauai lookout.
Kauai is known as the Garden Island and rightfully so. The island is full of life, both in lush vitality and epic vistas that can be found nowhere else on Earth. Perhaps that’s why it’s been used as the backdrop for so many memorable movies:
- Raiders of the Lost Ark
- Honeymoon in Las Vegas
- Jurassic Park
- Tropic Thunder
- South Pacific
- King Kong
- Lord of the Flies
- Pirates of the Caribbean
- And Many More
