With so many places in Las Vegas to stay, there’s a time and place for everything. There are some properties that are geared for parties, for certain themes or even for the kiddies. The Westin Las Vegas Hotel & Spa is for those who want to stay on the Las Vegas Strip without “staying” on the Las Vegas Strip.
Nadia and I flew to Las Vegas to celebrate! There’s so much we like about Las Vegas and then there’s the things we don’t like about Vegas. The fact that cigarette smoke is an ever present fixture in most institutions and that we don’t particularly gamble makes Sin City less appealing. However, as luck, would have it, there’s a place that fits the bill.
Nadia and I checked in at the Westin Las Vegas and literally found it refreshing that it was both a non-smoking and non-gaming hotel! It was literally a breath of fresh air to not be overcome with cigarette smoke. And while not a complete loss, the quiet ambiance is different for a trip to Vegas.
The rooms weren’t that bad, but the nice touches of welcome birthday cake, card and drinks is always appreciated. The view of the ferris wheel was nice but we didn’t spend a lot of time in the room. Between going to the spa or the the clubs, the room was only ever really used for sleep.
What is It
The Westin Las Vegas Hotel & Spa is your home away from home away from the loud Las Vegas mainstrip. It’s for those times when you need to be in Vegas but don’t want to be in Vegas(?), as it was put to me. This property is much more subdued versus the overthetop everything that can be easily found in nearly every direction you look.
Things we love most about this place:
- Conveniently located to things we want to do
- There’s no smoke in the property like most other places
- There’s no gambling
- It was nice that they gave a birthday card and drinks!
- And there’s a wonderful spa
