The City of Spas Buda and Pest

by May 9, 2013

Do you know where you’re going?

Yeah, I’m getting lost.

Budapest tl;dr

I thought that train ride would never end. Getting off at the final station in Budapest, the city of spas was a dream come true.  City of Spas indeed. There’s spas everywhere, inside hotels, outside hotels, private spas, and public spas, spas, spas, and more spas. After checking into the Le Meridien we decided to find out what we could find out about our new home for the next couple days.

Getting Lost Between Two Cities

After crossing over the Chain Bridge I was able to take some amazing shots of the city.

Hungarian Parliament Building in Budapest

Hello government! I found myself across the river with an amazing view of the Hungarian Parliament building.

View from Buda Castle of the Danube River, Budapest, and the Chain Bridge

Buda Castle and Chain Bridge There was this great view of the very bridge I took to get across the river along with a side perspective of Buda Castle.

During my walks I found different types of art. Of course, I use the term ‘art’ very loosely, what one considers art can be considered something else altogether. Though since it was different from what I was used to and my American sensibilities I took pictures to remind me of the many wonderful differences in the world today.

Random Street Art in Budapest

What’s this?

I hope I don’t offend anyone but I think this is innocent street art… or perhaps something more interesting?

A Painting of Piano Player in a Budapest Museum

Yeah, I feel this way sometimes.

St Stephens Basilica in Budapest

What’s that?

A view of St. Stephen’s Basilica.. which means I found my way back to the hotel.
